Helmut Kohl's Style Visit In Las Anod For President HSM

Image
Helmut Kohl — the Chancellor of West Germany — was a man deeply devoted to the idea of a united Germany. Even at a time when the Allied powers had divided the nation into four occupation zones following the devastation of the Second World War, his love for a strong and unified Germany never waned. Beyond his admirable leadership — grounded in vision, patriotism, democracy, and justice — Chancellor Kohl is often described as one of the luckiest figures in political history. Likewise, even if one might question President Hassan Sheikh’s leadership, it would be difficult to deny his remarkable political fortune. Chancellor Kohl’s defining moment came unexpectedly: while on a short visit to Poland, he received the historic news that his long-cherished dream had come true — the hated wall that had cruelly separated the two German peoples had fallen, and citizens from both sides were joyfully crossing over to embrace each other with emotion and excitement. Immediately, he cut short his...

Somaliland’s Pursuit of Recognition Knows No Bounds — Not Even At the Devil’s Doorway

Image
In early April, 2025 reports emerged that Somaliland had submitted a confidential request expressing its willingness to host displaced residents of Gaza, Palestine—people who have been mercilessly slaughtered in years by Israel and its allies, with the United States being the primary supporter. During the ongoing massacre of the people of Gaza, around 75,000 people—mostly women and children—were killed. With no serious response from the international community to this horrific genocide. Despite that, a shocking proposal came from Donald Trump, who currently leads the U.S suggesting a new resettlement program for the people of Gaza, relocating them to new lands outside their ancestral homeland. This proposal is part of the larger plan to ethnically cleanse Palestinians and expand Israeli territory over Muslim lands or "Promised land" according to them. Among the countries listed in a U.S. State Department document to host Palestinians were Jordan, Sudan, and Somalia—all Muslim...

Somaliland And Puntland: Lost Between The Lines

Image
In 1978, a year after the fierce war between Ethiopia and Somalia over the Ogaden region, an attempted coup led by Colonel Abdullahi Yusuf failed. Following the incident, Abdullahi fled to Ethiopia, where he went on to organize an armed opposition movement known as the Somali Salvation Democratic Front (SSDF). Prior to this event, Abdullahi had already been planning to overthrow the central government, even before the Ogaden war began. Having recently been released from a long imprisonment under the regime, he was prepared a move against the ruling milatary regime. However, with the Somali government mobilizing for the national campaign to “liberate” the Somali-inhabited territories under Ethiopian control, Abdullahi decided to postpone his coup attempt. He feared that acting at such a critical time might make him appear as though he were opposing the national cause and undermine his personal and military reputation. A determined and politically astute man, Abdullahi chose instead...

MY 2021 IN 200 WORDS

Image
the year of 2021 was full of ups and downs with many successful and unsuccessful plans for me, though most of the time i perceived the year joyfully through achieving few of my desired goals and thrust out intended plans which i noted in the first of January. my biggest achievement was simply graduating and earning my bachelors degree in economics at SIMAD university with a thrilling end to 4 years journey, i also got a job at state level which is also another big bow to my career. i read 7 books throughout the year, 1. essential hayek, 2. free to choose, 3. the nudge, 4. the big questions: a short introduction to philosophy, 5. the subtle art of not giving a f**k, 6. naked economics, 7: it worked for me: in life and in leadership, though my plan was to read 12 books at the end of the year.  i earned a professional certificates on project proposal writing, blogging and environmental economics. i presented a paper tiled " the relationship of inflation and unemployment: empiric...
